Smith & Nephew CICA-CARE is a self-adhesive silicone gel sheet that can be cut to size and reused for the treatment of scars. CICA-CARE is designed for use in the management of both existing and new hyperpigmented scars and keloids, and as a preventative therapy on healed wounds to help prevent red, raised scars.

Do not use on open wounds. Do not use on skin currently affected by acne. Do not use with ointments or creams under the gel sheet. See enclosed leaflet for full list of contraindications and precautions.
STEP 1: Wash hands before and after treating scar. Gently clean the scar and surrounding skin with a mild soap and rinse in clean warm water. Cut CICA-CARE to fit scar size, with a small overlap over the surrounding skin.
STEP 2: Peel off printed plastic backing sheet, and apply CICA-CARE adhesive side to the scar, without stretching.
STEP 3: If necessary, a light crepe bandage or tape can be used to keep CICA-CARE in place.
