Solenoid valve

The three-way solenoid valve eases the pressure in the filter holder right after the shot is pulled. Water transfers from the filter basket to the drip tray via the valve, resulting in a dry coffee puck that makes cleaning easier.

Accommodates grounds or ESE pods

Load the portafilter with freshly ground coffee or, for less grunt work, pop an ESE pod inside. Either option will result in an exceptional espresso with a smooth crema. Using grounds allows you to hone your barista skills, while the pod option means less cleanup.

Classic user interface

The controls for espresso preparation, steam dispensing, and the machine s power take the form of rocker switches accompanied by indicator lights. This gives the machine an industrial aesthetic and calls to mind the heritage of the Gaggia brand.
