Mepilex Border Post-Op Wound Dressing is a self-adherent post-operative dressing with 360o stretch Flex Technology.

This wound dressing is extra-conformable and easy to use for surgical wounds, cuts, and abrasions. The design is specifically suited to post-op use for surgical wounds and blood absorption.

This dressing is self-adherent, thanks to Safetac - the original less-pain contact layer with silicone adhesion. It's designed to mould softly to skin without sticking to the moist wound so that you can remove it easily without damaging the skin.

The absorbent pad has Flex technology for extra flexibility - so you can rely on it for treating joints such as hips and knees - to support early patient mobility. The design is highly absorbent, to reduce dressing change frequency.

You can leave Mepilex Border Post-Op Wound Dressing in place for up to seven days, depending on the condition of your patient's wound and the surrounding skin; or as indicated by your organisational procedures or accepted clinical practice.

Mepilex Border Post-Op Wound Dressing can be used for:

Follow instructions on pack or as directed by your healthcare professional.

1. Cleanse the wound and the surrounding skin in accordance with clinical practice.

2. Dry the surrounding skin thoroughly.

3. The Mepilex Border Post-Op wound pad should overlap the wound by at least 1-2 cm to protect the surrounding skin from maceration and fixate the dressing securely.

4. For dressings with three release films, remove the middle release film first. Apply the adherent side to the wound, allowing initial fixation of the dressing.

For dressings with two release films, grip both overlapping release films, exposing adhesive surface allowing initial fixation of the dressing.

5. Avoid wrinkles while gently removing the remaining release films, start with the longer part. Do not stretch the dressing during application.

Always read the label & use only as directed. External use only. 
If you see signs of infection e.g., fever or the wound or surrounding skin becoming red, warm or swollen, consult a health care professional for appropriate treatment.
Always consult a health care professional before using Mepilex Border Post-Op on Epidermolysis Bullosa patients.
Do not use Mepilex Border Post-Op on patient and/or user with known hypersensitivity to the ingoing materials/components of the product.
Do not reuse. If reused performance of the product may deteriorate, cross contamination may occur.
Sterile. Do not use if inner package (sterile barrier) is damaged or opened prior to use. Do not re-sterilise.
