It has an f/16 minimum aperture and f/1.4 maximum aperture, as well as an aperture diaphragm with a rounded opening consisting of eleven blades. This lens is incorporated with technologies, such as an inner focusing system, a stepping motor, an aperture ring with a click switch and lock switch, and a focus mode switch. It also has a water- and oil-repellent coating for the front element and a dust- and splash-resistant structure.
